About Sheng Wei

Hi! My name is Sheng Wei. As a former 2nd-grade classroom teacher from Taiwan and a US after-school Chinese tutor, I bring real classroom management and certified teaching experience to your child’s language journey.

I specialize in making Mandarin engaging, intuitive, and practical for K-12 students. Whether your child is an absolute beginner or an advanced immersion student needing curriculum support, I adapt my lessons to their unique learning pace. The "Real-Life" Method: We learn words and grammar through role-playing, practical daily scenarios, and cultural storytelling.

A Typical 60-Minute Lesson Plan
First 10 Mins (Warm-up): "Ice-breaker" chat about the student's day in Mandarin, followed by a quick, fun review of the previous lesson's vocabulary.

Next 25 Mins (Core Learning): Introducing new words, sentence patterns, or dialogues through interactive slides, visual aids, or storybooks.

Next 15 Mins (Active Practice): Interactive games, role-playing, or situational speaking activities to apply what was just learned.

Last 10 Mins (Wrap-up & Feedback): A quick wrap-up, assigning a light task, and providing brief feedback to parents.
