About Terry

I am a former teacher and principal in a small private 6th - 12th school in San Francisco. The school program was based on individual learning. Also a former system analyst working with databases and web development. I cook regularly for my neighbors, do photography and ceramics. I have lots of experience with enthusiastic students, but also have worked successfully to help many discouraged students turn it around and become eager learners.

About the lesson

Find out where the student is in their skills and begin there, building fundamentals with proficiency before moving on. I am empathetic towards students who are frustrated or discouraged and I know how to work with them to overcome any negative attitude towards learning so they can have success in whatever school program they are in.
