About Valerie
I was a former teacher here in the Clark County district. I taught Algebra 1 and Geometry for 5 years. I tutored Algebra 2 for two years. I am great with breaking down the concepts and make it more understandable. Students enjoy my tutoring because I make them feel comfortable to ask questions when they are unsure.

I prefer to have the materials ahead of time so I can review them. I bring my own notebook, white board, or teaching iPad to make the lessons more engaging. I do one problem and have the students do a similar problem on the next try. Then I ask the students to explain to me how they get to the correct answers.
