About Karen
I have received awards for my work with kids from Kids Day America! and the Middletown, NJ Jaycees Award. I love all the arts and sharing the joys of creative writing with others is a passion of mine.
I enjoy employing many techniques and exercises that help in brining out a creative element in a student's mind and life. One can learn how to tap into the creativity that life holds for everyone.

I have a degree from Syracuse University's Newhouse School in newswriting and creative writing. I have published a kids' newspaper for over 20 years and worked with young people from 5 to 16 years of age. I have been a substitute teacher, worked as a tutor in Pa. and NJ and taught creative writing classes to kids in Monmouth County New Jersey. I have a teacher's certificate from the state of N.J as well as my journalism degree from Syracuse University.
