About Tracy
I am a former university tutor at Victoria University of Wellington, where I completed a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in Finance and Economics. I am currently studying Advanced Finance and Applied Econometrics at Monash University.
At VUW, I prepared and delivered tutorials, marked students’ work and communicated with lecturers and academic staff. My students achieved strong results, with one receiving an Academic Excellence recognition from the university. I also achieved an A+ in Statistics and Mathematics for Economics and Finance, as well as Academic Excellence in Corporate Finance.
I enjoy teaching because I understand that quantitative subjects can initially feel overwhelming. It is rewarding to help students understand difficult concepts, improve their results and become more confident. I am patient, approachable and committed to creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s course, learning goals and areas of difficulty. Before each lesson, I review the relevant course materials and prepare clear explanations, worked examples and practice questions.
During the lesson, I break complex concepts into manageable steps and encourage students to explain their reasoning so that I can identify and address any gaps in understanding. I can also provide guidance on problem-solving techniques, exam preparation and interpreting assignment questions while respecting academic integrity.
With experience preparing tutorials, teaching and marking at Victoria University of Wellington, I understand university expectations and common challenges faced by students. My aim is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and gradually become confident independent learners.
