About Fred
Fred comes from a family of educators and has been passionate about learning since his introduction to elementary education at Westland School in Los Angeles, a private progressive school that his family helped found 75 years ago. He survived Hollywood High School and thrived at Reed College. Two years of graduate study in Social Anthropology at Oxford University in the United Kingdom earned him a Master's equivalent Diploma. He has taught in several independent schools and, for over forty years, in the public schools of the Monterey Bay Area.

We'll discuss your needs and desires for learning, what excites and motivates you, and the obstacles you encounter. I can help with any aspect of the pre-K through 8th grade curriculum. For 9th—12th grade, I can support you through High School English and Composition, Basic Math, and general science concepts. Good writing skills are the key to all education: I'm a published writer passionate about helping others find their voice.
