About Mieké

Hello! My name is Mieké, and I am excited to be your English teacher. I bring a unique mix of experiences to the classroom:

I have worked as a flight attendant, which allowed me to travel the world, meet people from many cultures, and use English every day in real-life situations.

I also have three years of classroom experience, teaching and guiding young learners just like you.

I am a qualified BEd Foundation Phase teacher, which means I
specialise in helping children build strong skills in reading, writing, and speaking English.I love teaching because:

Travel inspires me — I’ve seen how English connects people across the world, and I want to give you that same gift.

Making a difference — Helping children grow in confidence and discover their voice in English is the most rewarding part of my work.

Passion for learning — I believe learning should be fun, creative, and full of adventure, just like exploring a new country.

About the lesson

My English lessons for young learners are designed to feel like playtime, not classroom time. Through songs, stories, and games, children naturally absorb English while building confidence and creativity. Every session is interactive, joyful, and tailored to your child’s pace
