About Ayah
I am a fourth-year Veterinary Medicine student at the University of Cambridge, and I also hold a BA in Natural Sciences, Psychology. I have always really enjoyed helping others learn, and through mentoring younger students I found tutoring to be something I genuinely value.
I want to teach because I know how much of a difference the right support can make to a student’s confidence and progress. Sometimes subjects like Maths and Science can feel overwhelming, and I want to help make them feel more manageable, understandable, and even enjoyable. I am patient, encouraging, and approachable, and I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
For me, tutoring is not just about improving grades, but also about helping students build confidence in themselves and develop skills that will support them beyond the classroom.

My approach to tutoring is centred around patience, encouragement, and adapting to each student’s individual learning style. I know that every student learns differently, so I aim to explain concepts in a clear and structured way, breaking difficult topics down into simple, manageable steps. I also believe confidence is just as important as knowledge, so I try to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
In my lessons, I focus on building strong understanding first and then reinforcing this through worked examples, active recall, and exam-style practice questions. I like to identify areas a student finds difficult and tailor lessons towards these, while also helping them develop good revision techniques and problem-solving skills that they can use independently.
A typical lesson would usually last around 60 minutes, although this can be adjusted depending on the student’s age, needs, and preferences.
I am open to tutoring students GCSE, A level as well as younger years KS2 and KS3.
