About Trent
I am a fourth year student at the University of Toronto Mississauga, majoring in Economics and specializing in Finance, graduating in 2027. I have interned twice in banking, in wealth management and in bank finance, where I worked on market analysis, financial reporting and modeling in Excel and Python.
Outside of class I coach boxing and mixed martial arts at UTM and founded a boxing club there, and I serve as VP Finance for the debate club. Coaching is most of what I do, and it is the reason I tutor. Teaching a skill to someone who is starting from nothing is a specific ability, separate from knowing the material yourself, and it is the part I enjoy.
I am patient, I do not rush a concept because it seems obvious to me, and I would rather you understand one thing properly than cover five things quickly.

I tutor economics at the high school and university level. I am a fourth year Economics major at UTM.
I work from whatever your course is covering rather than a generic curriculum, so sessions stay focused on what your professor is actually testing. A typical hour runs fifteen minutes on the concepts you are stuck on, thirty minutes working problems together while you do the writing, and fifteen minutes of practice questions to take away.
Most students lose marks because they memorized a result without knowing where it comes from, so I make sure you can rebuild the logic under exam pressure.
