About Lucy
I am a third year MEng General Engineering degree student at Durham University. I achieved a first in year 1 and year 2. I previously completed A levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Economics achieving A*A*A*A. I also achieved A* in GCSE maths. I have previously tutored younger students in Maths with a problem-solving approach (looking for tricky areas and tackling them) and found this method very successful.

I aim to identify areas that the student finds trick and focus on these problem areas. We will go through basic theory of the topic and then I will go through example problems to slowly gain confidence for the student. Then we will work together to go through some where they lead the conversation. I also will encourage students to approach me with problems or questions they would like to be clarified and I will go through similar examples to improve their knowledge which will hopefully allow them to solve the original problem themselves.
