About Emma
I began creating music since I was six years old. Exploring piano, then the voice, music composition, guitar, digital/audio mixing, and live performance. I attended Bak , Dreyfoos, and other fine arts charter schools soon realizing that my love of music had become an obligation and chore, rather than a passion. I lost my drive. So, I dropped out of public schools and I graduated two years earlier, online! Ever since, I have been exploring culture & sharing my experiences through music by traveling globally and meeting new smiles, hearts, and musicians!

As a musician, I know that I’ve honed my abilities to think and listen critically, strive for excellence, and work through problems in a disciplined and systematic way. At times, we expect greatness from ourselves and from our students and we are willing to work with great intensity to achieve our goals.
Unfortunately, we rarely get the chance to learn how to balance our critical thinking, perfectionism, and workaholism with the crucial skills of non-judgmental awareness, acceptance, and equanimity. As a result, we find ourselves overcome with negative self-talk, doubt, exhaustion, and hopelessness.
I hope to change this mentality in my peers and myself by teaching mindfully.
I incorporate meditation, mindfulness techniques, or/and behavioral listening into my music lessons to:
• Recover from burnout (and prevent it altogether)
• Reduce or eliminate negative self-talk
• Maintain focus on long-term goals (and achieve them)
• Improve my resilience
• Reduce the fear of failure
• Return to my love of teaching AND learning
• to Teach with calm confidence
• to connect with students in a genuine and positive way
• Know how to guide students to overcome performance anxiety, move beyond their fear or failure, and to let go of rejection and embrace positive mindsets
Overall- in regards to teaching - it is my purpose to teach students how to use every obstacle as a tool to further them into their practice!
