About Johan-Marc

As stated before, I'm a graduate from Rochester Institute of Technology and have held several teaching and tutoring positions there while progressing through my academic career as a student. I started freelance web development as a side gig to gain extra cash on the side while going to school, but ended up liking it a lot and decided to focus more heavily on web development in school as well, having completed several programming projects and commissions. I have experience working with all kinds of students.

About the lesson

I started freelancing for web development in 2021 and have been keeping at it up until now, holding a full time interaction developer position until recently as well. Most of what I know how to do is a combination of learning from passion projects I've made and formal education from Rochester Institute of Technology.

As someone who's mostly self-taught, my general teaching approach relies on hands-on exercises and workshops to transfer my knowledge of concepts foundational to web development and programming in general to you. This, however, doesn't mean that I skip over basic textbook theory and best practices; I'll cover those first in order to get you ready to dive into some real projects. Depending on your progress and current skill, we can delve into frameworks too(React being my most proficient).

These lessons are for people who either have no experience with web dev at all and want to give it a try or people who have dipped their toes in it, but want to improve.
