About Robert Luke
I am an Irish native who has spent 3 years in France perfecting my fluency in French. I have taught French classes to school children of all ages and have tutored students privately too. I also have a Bachelors degree in Mathematics so can offer support for pre-College Math students.

For languages I like to start by building lessons around the student's interests, thus getting to know them better, while making the lesson relevant to them, which helps with the student's engagement. Using music, film and sports are all ways in which people more quickly pick up vocabulary, phrases and interest in what you are trying to teach them.
Mathematics can be incomprehensible at times because people can't visualise why the information is useful; they don't understand why they should need to deal with it. For Mathematics, I try to find examples of how, what students are currently learning, will help them in every day life, making the subject matter relevant. I also try and create simple steps to solve problems so that any example has the same repeatable recipe to ensure students can pick up from where I left off.
