About Josh

I am a 27 year old postgraduate and have been following languages all my life. I enjoy multilingual conversations and have friends all over the world who speak various dialects of French and Spanish. I am extremely happy to help anyone who feels they need to improve their language skills and will work at your ideal pace to make sure my lessons are as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Many of my previous tutees made fun of my motto, but I still stand by it - it doesn't matter how fast or slow you are when learning, I admire you for having the interest and dedication to learn!

About the lesson

My classes are extremely customisable. As I have taught in 4 different schools, I have a strong understanding of the curriculum and can adapt my tutoring sessions to suit your needs, such as exam preparation, helping to consolidate understanding of what is being taught in class, speaking and proficiency practice.

I began tutoring when I was in year 12 by hosting a homework club at my school. During my year abroad for my BA, I was employed in Spain as an English tutor, and to further develop my teaching skills completed a PGCE in 2020-2021 to gain a better understanding of the curriculum and improve my teaching skills. I have since then been head of KS5 Spanish at 2 schools and am currently teaching both languages at KS5 level alongside being second in charge of the MFL department.

I also have access to a variety of resources to further support your learning during and between lessons.

A lesson will typically be 1 hour but I am willing to extend this if a longer class is requested. Lessons must be done outside of school hours.

My lessons will be ideal for secondary students from year 7 to 13 and for people trying to learn languages casually.
