About Werner

I am Werner — a creative, curious, and warm person who genuinely enjoys learning, teaching, and connecting with others. Languages have always been central to my life, not only as tools for communication, but as a way to understand people, cultures, and ways of thinking. I have lived, studied, and worked in France, Canada, the United States, Ireland, and the United Kingdom, which has given me strong intercultural awareness and an intuitive understanding of how people learn and express themselves in a second language. My professional path is diverse: I have worked in government institutions and embassies, as well as in private organizations and non-profit associations. This variety of environments has helped me develop adaptability, clear communication skills, and a practical, people-focused approach — qualities I bring into my teaching. I also hold Master’s degrees in economics, health management, and coaching, alongside hands-on experience in education, theater, and group facilitation. This allows me to support learners with both structure and creativity, adapting to different personalities, goals, and learning styles. I am attentive, encouraging, and adaptable, and I enjoy creating a safe and positive atmosphere where students feel comfortable, motivated, and confident to speak — even when making mistakes. I believe learning works best when it is interactive, meaningful, and enjoyable. Above all, I value exchange, curiosity, and progress, and I take real pleasure in helping others gain confidence and enjoy the learning journey.

About the lesson

I - My teaching approach My approach to teaching French is centered on confidence, interaction, and real-life communication. As a native French speaker, trilingual (French/English/Spanish), certified coach, and experienced facilitator, I help learners move beyond textbook French and develop the ability to speak naturally, spontaneously, and with ease. Lessons are built around conversation, role-play, and practical situations, drawing inspiration from theater techniques and coaching tools. This allows students to practice French in a relaxed, engaging, and supportive environment, while improving fluency, pronunciation, and self-expression. Learning a language should feel useful, enjoyable, and human, not stressful or rigid. II - Lesson structure & methodology Each lesson is tailored to the learner’s goals, level, and interests: • everyday conversation and social interaction • professional French (workplace communication, meetings, presentations) • exam preparation or specific objectives • confidence-building and oral expression A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, combining: • warm-up conversation • guided speaking exercises and role-play • vocabulary and expressions used in context • personalized feedback and practical tips For learners interested in writing, I also offer support with written French, drawing on my experience as a published author — always with a pragmatic and accessible approach. III - Experience & background I have coached individuals one-to-one and led group workshops in a wide range of settings, including: • cultural and educational institutions • companies and professional environments • group workshops for magistrates and lawyers at the Paris Court of Appeal This experience has given me a strong ability to adapt to different profiles, levels, and learning styles, and to create a safe, motivating space where learners feel comfortable making progress.
