About Lina

I am a qualified teacher with an academic background in history, international relations and languages.

I hold a Master's degree in International and European Relations from the University of Amsterdam, a certificate in language communication from Erasmushogeschool Brussel, and have studied French Language and Culture at the University of Dundee in Scotland.

I have over 30 years of professional experience working in international environments, collaborating with people from different countries and cultural backgrounds.

Languages have always been an important part of both my professional and personal life. As a lifelong language learner myself, I understand the challenges of mastering a foreign language, especially as an adult.

Living in Belgium, where French is part of everyday life, has given me valuable practical experience of the language and its cultural context.

I believe that a good teacher should not only explain grammar and vocabulary but also inspire curiosity, encourage communication and make learning enjoyable.

My aim is to create a friendly, supportive atmosphere where beginners feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and gradually gaining confidence in French.

About the lesson

Learning French should be an enjoyable and rewarding experience, not just an endless series of grammar exercises!

I offer personalised French lessons for complete beginners and those who already have some basic knowledge. Each course is designed around your individual goals, interests and learning pace.

My teaching approach is interactive and varied. I use songs, poems, short stories, film clips, dialogues and practical activities to make learning both effective and enjoyable. We explore everyday situations, develop conversational skills and gradually build vocabulary and grammar in a natural context.

I also believe that learning a language means discovering its culture. Throughout our lessons, we explore French traditions, history, literature and everyday life, making the language more meaningful and memorable.

Whether you are learning French for travel, personal interest, future relocation or simply the pleasure of discovering a new language, I will help you build a solid foundation and gain confidence in speaking French.
