About Phoebe
My name is Phoebe, I’m 23 and (almost) graduated from the University of Bristol with a degree in French and German. I’d say I’m an empathetic and passionate teacher, and have lots of experience tutoring and teaching in schools, both in England and abroad. My aim as a tutor is not just to make sure the student grasps the material but also gains/maintains a positive attitude towards learning languages, and enjoys the work we do together.

I like to start off by generally getting to know my students, what their main problem areas are and what they struggle with most with their languages. I try to incorporate diverse methods of learning to keep students engaged - I avoid repetitive tasks and talking at the student, preferring to work through exercises with them and make sure they’re understanding the material. I’m also happy to talk to parents and incorporate their input if they have any particular requests for the lessons.

Details
I am based in Clifton, Bristol (BS8). I am happy to travel up to around half an hour, provided travel expenses over £5 are covered. First meet and greet session free, as will get to know the needs of the student, and will work on material from lesson 2. Happy to discuss any special needs for the student and cater to any physical and/or learning disabilities.
