About James
I am a recent graduate of the French Masters program at the University of Louisville. I have spent two summers working full time in French and have excellent skills in both written and verbal communication. In my studies at U of L I also spent time focusing on phonetics and perfecting an accent without so many traces of American English. As a graduate student I also served as a Teaching Assistant and oversaw classes in the capacity of a long-term substitute teacher.

My teaching methodology includes the belief that every student is capable of learning both good written and spoken French. My methodology is based strongly in practical oral communication skills as well as essential writing factors. In both, I stress proper grammar while paying attention to differences in vocabulary and sentence structure. Finally, I use phonetics and some nice tricks I picked up in my time as a student to help develop a more authentic French accent.
