About Rory

I’ve been teaching French for about ten years, inspired by a lifelong fascination with its melody, culture, and emotional depth. My experience has taught me that each student’s path to fluency is unique, and guiding them through it is one of my greatest joys. My approach balances discipline with warmth, adapting each session to students’ goals and personalities. I integrate storytelling, film, and discussion to make language learning alive and intuitive. I aim to ensure every learner feels engaged, supported, and motivated to keep progressing at their own pace. Teaching French connects me with people who, like me, see language as an art of connection and understanding. Outside teaching, I immerse myself in French literature, music, and film, continuously refining my approach. For me, teaching French isn’t a task — it’s a heartfelt exchange that enriches both teacher and student.

About the lesson

French learning is not only about grammar — it’s about feeling the rhythm of a new way of thinking. My lessons bring language and culture together, helping students learn through conversation, context, and creativity. I create a supportive, open atmosphere that encourages participation and builds authentic confidence, even in those who start with little or no experience.

For beginners, I focus on pronunciation, vocabulary, and conversational basics using practical, real-life scenarios. Intermediate learners explore grammar, reading, and cultural immersion through media, songs, and short texts. Advanced students refine fluency, idioms, and expression while analyzing literature or professional communication. Each level receives personal guidance to achieve strong, natural progress.

By the end, students experience transformation beyond words — they think, dream, and express themselves in French. They understand its art, emotion, and connection to identity, walking away not just bilingual, but culturally enriched and self-assured.
