About Gianna
My passion for French began with admiration for its literary richness, cultural depth, and expressive elegance as a global language. This interest led me to complete a B.A. in French Literature, followed by an M.A. in Applied Linguistics, where I explored both the artistic beauty of French and the science of language learning. Over the past 9 years, I have guided learners from many backgrounds toward fluency through patience, structure, and strong encouragement.
I believe language learning should feel human and engaging rather than stressful. My teaching style emphasizes communication first, helping students speak with confidence while gradually strengthening grammar accuracy. I use conversation practice, listening activities, writing support, and cultural exploration to build balanced language ability. Each student receives lessons tailored to their pace, ensuring they feel supported at every stage.
Outside teaching, I stay connected with French through novels, films, cultural research, and continuous study of modern teaching methods. Teaching French is meaningful because I see learners transform from uncertainty into confident expression, gaining a voice in a language that once felt unreachable.

French becomes far more enjoyable when learners stop feeling pressured by perfection and instead begin experiencing the language as a tool for connection, expression, and discovery. In my lessons, I create a supportive environment where students develop confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing through steady, structured practice. I focus on helping learners understand how French works naturally, from pronunciation flow to sentence rhythm, so communication feels smooth rather than forced. Through engaging dialogues, cultural stories, and practical exercises, students gradually feel that French is something they can truly live in, not just study.
Each lesson is adapted to the learner’s level and personal goals. Beginners build strong foundations through essential vocabulary, clear pronunciation guidance, basic grammar patterns, and everyday conversational phrases. Intermediate students strengthen fluency by exploring complex tenses, longer sentence structures, reading comprehension, and more confident speaking practice. Advanced learners refine academic writing, exam preparation, professional communication, and deeper cultural nuance through discussions of literature, media, and real-world topics. Every session includes repetition, gentle correction, and encouragement that ensures progress remains steady.
