About Douglas
I been lucky enough to enjoy good French literature for many years. Some of my favorite authors are Villon , Montaigne , Moliere , Racine , Voltaire , Rousseau , Hugo , Camus , Sartre , Duras and many others . I wrote my Master's thesis on Baudelaire . The French language is a beautiful thing .

I have a long relationship with the French language . It goes back to 1961 when I took my first high school French course . I continued my studies for two years in the US Army while stationed near Paris for a year and a half . Afterwards earned my B. A . and M . A . majoring in French . Recently , I taught French on the college level .
