About Ezeakor

I am a graduate from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. I studied Linguistics and explored the area of Applied Linguistics which deals with language teaching and learning. I also studied French in extension at a French institute known as Alliance Français. With my knowledge of Applied Linguistics, language teaching and learning is made easy. I've held French language tutorials for students in the University who acclaimed that they learn and comprehend better from my tutorials than from their course lecturers. This is a bonus from Applied Linguistics (techniques in language teaching and learning).

About the lesson

Firstly, a language is either acquired or learned. Mother Tongue(MT) or First Language (L1) is acquired during the growth process of a child whereas the Second language (L2) which could be an Official Language, Alternate Language (AL) etc are learnt at the later stage of live.

Meanwhile, the knowledge of the MT and L1 can either facilitate or interfere in the learning of the L2. Therefore it becomes very important to compare and contrast between the two languages in other know the areas of differences and similarities.

The two languages under my field are English and French. And in each of them we look into the 4 language skills which includes reading, writing, speaking and listening.

My teaching methodology includes:
➡Identifying the similarities and differences between the learner's background language and the Target language (French) to ease possible learning difficulties.
➡Looking into the sound system of French language. During this process, so many French vocabularies will be learnt as well as the proper way of pronouncing them.
➡Looking into the Morphological aspect which deals with how words are formed not the excluding parts of speech, tenses, affixation and pluralisation processes in French.
➡We'll look into the sentence formation process know as syntax not excluding phrases, clauses, negations etc
➡Finally, we'll look into the semantic of French. This is all about meaning. Meaning is relative in languages and that makes it an important aspect in language teaching and learning.

Following this methodology one after the other will make language learning easy and enjoyable.
