About Tahina

I am a native French speaker with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Foreign Languages for Business, currently working as a French language assistant in a secondary school in Dublin. This experience helps me understand the challenges students may face when learning French and create activities adapted to their needs.

I am a patient and enthusiastic person who loves languages and cultural exchange. From my own experience, I believe that learning a language is much easier when you have a personal interest in it. Immersing yourself in the culture is also one of the best ways to make progress, which is why learning with a native speaker can be so helpful!

My goal is to make learning French an enjoyable experience where you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning at your own pace.

Whether you are starting from scratch, preparing for a school exam or looking to improve your conversational skills, I will do my best to help you reach your goals.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy listening to music, cooking and doing sports. I am a dynamic and open-minded person, and I would love to share my language and culture with you!

About the lesson

As a native French speaker and French language assistant in a secondary school, I offer friendly and engaging French lessons adapted to each student's needs and level.

At the beginning of each lesson, we will focus on the student's existing knowledge and needs. We can have a conversation, play a game or establish a simple routine, such as talking about the date or the weather, especially for beginners.

In the second part of the lesson, we will explore different topics, such as introducing yourself, talking about your daily life and describing your surroundings. I use fun and interactive activities inspired by French culture to make learning more enjoyable.

My approach is interactive and practical, focusing on conversation, vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar. I adapt my teaching methods to each student's goals, whether they want to improve their speaking skills, strengthen their school knowledge or feel more confident using French.

Lessons last between 45 minutes and one hour, depending on your preferences and learning goals. They can take place in a café or online via video call.

I welcome beginners and intermediate learners of all ages. Whether you are learning French for school, travel or personal interest, I will help you progress at your own pace in a relaxed and supportive environment.

For more advanced learners, we can also explore specific topics, have debates and discuss current affairs, or simply practise conversation to maintain and improve your French level.
