About Maira
My name is Maira, and I have just graduated from Cambridge in Politics and Anthropology. I am from Paris but currently live in London. I have always loved teaching, but did not have much time to spare during my undergraduate. I now have more time on my hands, and am eager to make French as accessible as possible to students of all ages!

I offer engaging, supportive lessons tailored to each student's individual needs and goals. Whether you're preparing for GCSE, A-Level/IB/French Baccalaureate, or an alternative secondary school exam, my approach combines clear grammar explanations, authentic conversation practice and focused exam preparation. Through hour-long lessons, I take time to understand each student's strengths and vulnerabilities, designing personalised lessons to build confidence and fluency, while ensuring strong results. I have taught children from the ages of 12 to 18 in both written and conversational French, using a variety of media, including textbooks, videos, and music. I strive to make French accessible for all ages and levels!
