About Léa

I am in my third year teaching French in Spain, where I have taught adults in a Language School and students aged 11 to 18 in secondary schools. Last year, I completed a Master's degree in Teaching. I also hold a Master's degree in Translating.

About the lesson

£27 the 45 minute class

Pack of 5 x 45 minute classes: £130
Pack of 10 x 45 minute classes: £255

I offer personalised classes tailored to your interests and language objectives. I support my students the best I can, and strive to make learning French as enjoyable as possible. I use many different types of materials during the lessons (videos, articles, games, songs, etc) to keep you motivated. I use authentic and up to date materials so that you can learn about the different cultures of the French-speaking countries. You will practice the four CEFR skills (listening, reading, speaking, and writing), and we can focus of any of these areas depending on your objectives. You will have access to a Google document that contains the contents of the lessons, so that you can easily keep track of everything we do. Regular homework consists of short oral and written tasks to improve both your accuracy and fluency.

I offer:

- A1 to B2 level: Weekly 2x45 or 1x90 minute lessons focusing on key grammar and vocabulary topics. I use high quality and engaging resources. I follow the CEFR progression whilst adapting the lessons to your personal needs.
- C1/C2 level: Conversation classes (we talk about a topic of your choice, I provide supporting materials). Grammar is integrated in the lesson as the need arises.
- Exam preparation (DELF/DALF)

I also offer my services for the proofreading of written documents (resumes, cover letters, essays, dissertations, etc)

Perfect! Léa is absolutely fantastic at what she does and I couldn't rate her more highly. I see her twice a week for 45 minutes and each lesson is engaging and - importantly - a lot of fun! I have been learning French for on-and-off for nearly 20 years and lived in France for one year; Léa has clearly and succinctly taught me things that I wish I'd learnt in class years ago. When I tell her there is an element of French I'd like to work on or understand better she goes away and comes back with exceptional quality learning materials and makes a lesson out of them. She is punctual, passionate and - to be perfectly honest - incredibly good value for money, she should charge more IMO! I am very happy with our lessons and would recommend her wholeheartedly. Thank you Léa !
