About Edith

Salut!

I am a 29-year-old native speaker from north of France. I have been living in the UK for 5 years. I have been teaching French in primary and secondary schools since 2018.

After getting my bachelor's degree, I became an au pair in the UK and taught French to the children in my care. I enjoyed challenging myself and sharing my knowledge of French grammar as the children enhanced their own vocabulary. I really enjoyed facilitating their progress through fun and games.

Then, I embarked upon a PGCE MFL at University of Reading, which entailed theory behind teaching and learning as well as implementing the pedagogy of French and Spanish alongside older and more experienced professionals.

I'm currently working in a primary and secondary school as a fully qualified teacher where I teach French to 7 classes from KS2 to KS5 - including a Year 11 class which follows the AQA syllabus for GCSE French.

Outside of tutoring, I love to spend time traveling, meeting new people and dancing commercial and hip hop.

I design my lessons specifically to the needs of each student, and use lots of media (articles, and videos)

Depending on your needs, we will focus on different skills: speaking, listening, reading, writing.
