About Marie-Ange
I am a French native speaker with a PostGraduate Certificate in Education from Brookes University, Oxford. I have taught French to both children and adults on a one-to-one basis for the last thirty years. When I lived in London, I taught French for the short course department of the Polytechnic of Central London and then the University of Westminster. I also delivered intensive training to groups of 12 Ministry of Defence officers for three years. Since 2017, I have been teaching group classes for Bishop Wordsworth School and Wiltshire College in Salisbury as part of their evening programmes.

As a teacher, I am very enthusiastic and flexible to the needs of my students. I like using humour and approach the teaching and learning of French with playfulness. My lessons are very interactive, using authentic texts and dialogues as well as videos and podcasts. Grammar is introduced through small texts and practised through dialogues and role plays. I like to focus on good pronunciation so that students can understand native speakers and be understood by them.

A really nice tutor
Marie-Ange has been my tutor for beginners French and her classes always have a positive feel to them. She tailors her teaching to the needs of the students and, as a native French speaker, emphasises good pronunciation. Since joining her class my confidence with using French has greatly improved and I look forward to expanding my knowledge of this language.

Details
The first free 30 minute lesson will need to be at my home, on the phone or on Skype. Rates are as above for lessons taken at my home or online. For lessons given in the student's home, a charge of £ 1 per mile each way will be added to the agreed price. Students need to give me a 24 hours' notice for cancellation. The payment of the full fee will be expected for a late cancellation.
