About Theodore

As a modern languages enthusiast, I have always wanted to learn more about languages but also the culture of countries. This has sparked an interest in travelling to find out more about these cultures and practice these new languages I've learnt. This is why at the University of Bristol I have chosen alongside French to study Russian from scratch to discover a part of the world I am yet to know about. I have spoken French from a very young age making myself bilingual in it, the constant lessons and conversations in French have only helped to improve it. My ability in French has also meant I often ended up helping peers with their own work and projects, where I would happily give them the advice they need.

Alongside studies I am keen for sport such as Hockey, Real Tennis and cycling. Furthermore, I also enjoy the creativity of music through piano, guitar and even technology.

About the lesson

My main aim in teaching is to give an understanding to students if what the exam boards want them to do whilst making sure there is constant progress in their French ability. Through my lessons I will cover the four essential aspects of French exams (reading, listening, writing and speaking). By using my personal expereince, I will give tips and strategies through excercises such as writing plans, vocabulary tests and sentence building challenges to allow students to strive for a maximun mark. My lessons will always follow your pace and never put you under pressure, whilst still giving serious and well thought feedback. I will use my personal experience from Grade 9s in both French and Spanish GCSE as well as a 7 in IB to help you reach for those high marks. My teaching is for GCSE students or secondary school students (from year 7 to year 11).
