ABOUT ME
My name's Jean-Baptiste and I live in the South of France. I've been working as a language teacher for 10 years and as an online teacher for 5 years. I have a passion for languages. I speak French, English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, German, Swedish, Hebrew, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Hindi and Malay.
I live in a beautiful area of the French Riviera, surrounded by mountains and a short walk away from stunning beaches. Politics, the news, music, movies, traveling, hiking, cooking, reading, gardening and swimming are just a few of my passions.
I'm very talkative and love to meet new people. I've lived in many different countries. I'm very open-minded : I'm eager to discover people's cultures and opinions and always respect them.
MY QUALIFICATIONS
I have a first master's degree in languages applied to business and a second master's degree in digital language teaching.
I've worked in major companies in Luxembourg (Amazon, Traxys, Docler Holding, the American Embassy in Luxembourg...) and worked as a private teacher for more than 200 learners.
Finally, I've been working as an online teacher since 2018 and use state-of-the-art teaching approaches to help you reach your goals.

SO YOU WANT TO LEARN FRENCH!
So you've decided to learn French? That's a brilliant idea! My name's Jean-Baptiste, I'm a professional French teacher with 10 years of experience and I'm looking forward to helping you with your French learning goals.
Starting to learn a language or developing your language skills can be puzzling. My role as a teacher is to help you find the most appropriate learning approach. So if you're getting ready for a DELF or DALF exam, or are learning French to study in France, to enjoy a nice holiday on the French Riviera, to work in a French company or simply because you love French culture, I'll be walking alongside during your learning process.
WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO LEARN FRENCH?
For language learning, the more committed you are, the better the results. Being committed is not limited to regularly attending classes or to doing your homework. There are also many actions you can do without your teacher. These activities are not obvious and it will be my job to draw your attention on what's most relevant.
So, depending on how much time you have to study weekly, we'll design the most appropriate course to help you reach your goals in as few lessons as possible.
HOW ARE THE LESSONS ORGANISED?
When we learn together, you can choose between several approaches :
1. Turnkey solution - minimum level of commitment: we study and practice during each lesson and you decide whether you want extra homework or not.
2. Flipped classes - intermediate level of commitment: I design the course but you study and discover the language on your own before lesson. During the lesson, I answer your questions and we use most of the time we have to practice.
3. Full autonomy - maximum level of commitment: I help you design your learning track and empower you to learn a language autonomously. This course works for any language.
4. Conversation practice: you pick a topic and we talk about it for as long as you want. At the end of the session, I give you keys to improve your language skills.

’ai deux leçons par semaine avec Jean-Baptiste depuis six moins, et je suis convaincu que ça serait difficile de trouver un meilleur tuteur sur Internet. Il est extrêmement compétent pour adapter le leçon à votre niveau et vous mettre à l’aise, tel que vous ne vous sentez jamais gêné.
À la fin de chaque leçon, il vous donne des conseils de grammaire et de prononciation, ainsi que d'autres ressources adaptées à vos besoins.
Mais surtout, Jean-Baptiste est très accessible et possède un bon sens de l'humour, ce qui facilite la conversation.Jean-Baptiste est mon professeur depuis presque un an maintenant. J’adore son style d’enseignement, les cours sont bien structurés et ils sont soutenus par le material d’apprentissage approprié. La dernière partie de notre leçon, nous passons en revue les notes qu’il a prises en se concentrant sur bonnes phrases, nouveau vocabulaire, prononciation, phrases/grammar à modifier. C’est un excellent pédagogue, il est ingénieux, patient, les cours sont toujours amusants et le meilleur de tous, mon niveau s’est amélioré grâce à lui. Je ne saurais trop le recommander.
Jean Baptiste est un professeur spectaculaire. Il est toujours à l’écoute de ses élèves et toujours disponible. Je suis arrivée en France sans parler 1 mot de français et je suis devenue bilingue grâce à lui. Sa pédagogie est différenciée. Un professeur passionné par ce qu’il fait. Je le recommande vivement! En effet, Jean-Baptiste est un super prof ! Il est mon prof depuis plusieurs années. J'en ai eu d'autres mais lui il est le meilleur. Il très sympa et positif, organisé, réactif et s'est adapté très vite à mon niveau de français. J'aime bien ses méthodes, ressources et conseils et sa façon de travailler.
