About Emma
Hello! I'm Emma, a native French speaker and a French trainee lawyer, now living in Singapore.
After completing my law studies in France, I passed the French bar exam, which is known for its high level of demand in written and oral expression. I now study at ESSEC Business School, one of France's leading business schools. These experiences have given me a rigorous command of the French language, as well as solid skills in methodology, argumentation, and public speaking.
I'm patient, organized, and reliable, and I take every student's goals seriously, whether it's passing the Bac de français (French Baccalaureate), improving grades at school, or simply speaking French with confidence. I know from experience how important it is to have a clear method and someone who believes in you.
I also speak English, Italian, and Russian, so I understand what it means to learn a new language: the doubts, the progress, and the satisfaction of finally feeling confident. My goal is to make every student feel at ease, progress quickly, and enjoy French.
I look forward to meeting you!

My approach
I adapt every lesson to the student's level, goals, and pace. Before we start, I take time to understand what the student needs: building confidence in speaking, mastering grammar, or preparing for a specific exam.
1. For French language lessons (beginners to advanced), I focus on real communication from the very first lesson. We work on speaking, listening, reading, and writing through conversations, everyday situations, short texts, and targeted grammar exercises. I explain grammar in a clear and simple way, in English or French depending on the student's level.
2. For collège and lycée students, and especially those preparing the Bac de français, I focus on method. As a trainee lawyer, writing structured arguments is at the heart of my training, and I can teach students how to:
- analyze a text and build a strong commentaire
- organize a clear dissertation with a solid plan
- prepare the oral exam and present their ideas with confidence
- improve their spelling, grammar, and written expression
Lesson length
Lessons usually last at least 1 hour, but I can adapt to your needs. They can take place at your home or online.
