About Zeina
I am a French translator. I hold a Masters degree in translation for English and French. I have been giving private lessons for over 6 years. I am the recipient of an award for a short story writing competition in French.

I believe the best way to learn a language is through customization. I like to understand the student's needs, goals and motives. I like to find out first why they need to learn the language and what are their strengths and the areas they would like to improve. Having identified the needs, I can then adapt my material to help them achieve their goals. If they need a stronger understanding of grammar rules, I make it the main focus and provide specific, clear examples of the use of the different tenses in conversation and in writing, followed by exercises. If they need to expand their vocabulary and improve their comprehension, I like to resort to reading and debating interesting articles, lyrics of songs and short movie clips. Creating curiosity and discovering a new culture are key to motivating my students to learning the language.
