About Nora

I am a French tutor with over 4 years of experience and a Bachelor of Education in French as a Second Language. I specialise in teaching complete beginners, helping them build confidence from the very first lesson. My approach is patient, supportive, and often sprinkled with humour to make learning enjoyable. I use games, skits, flashcards, and storytelling to make grammar and vocabulary fun and memorable. Lessons are interactive, engaging, and tailored to each student’s pace and interests. I focus on practical French, so students feel confident using the language in everyday situations. Many of my students have gained not only skills but also confidence to speak French in real-life conversations. I encourage mistakes as part of the learning process and celebrate progress, big or small. My goal is to create a safe and motivating environment where students enjoy experimenting with the language. Learning French with me is playful, lively, and effective. I love seeing students laugh, grow, and discover the joy of communicating in French. Together, we make every lesson an exciting step towards fluency.

I also help students develop listening skills through authentic audio and video materials. Grammar and sentence structures are introduced in context, not in isolation. My approach balances discipline with creativity, encouraging exploration and experimentation.
