About Josie
I am a bilingual lawyer who studied French for 13 years at a bilingual school. I have spoken French since pre-school. In high school, I excelled at the French national exams, the Brevet and the French Baccalaureate, at my bilingual school. (French Baccalaureate is the French university entrance exam.) I have also spent considerable time in French speaking countries. I am currently CEFR C2 - expert level.
I studied Arts Law at the Australian National University and attained Distinctions and High Distinctions in my degrees. I also ranked first in the year on essays and assignments. I have completed training in teaching foreign languages. I studied French language, literature and history for many years and was taught by teachers from Paris.
I have over ten years of experience tutoring French. I enjoy tutoring and coaching students of all abilities to help them achieve their potential, including students with disabilities.

The lessons are conducted in a supportive environment and draw on my 13 years of bilingual education in French language, literature and history. They also draw on techniques from a course I completed for teaching foreign languages.
In particular, I focus on French conversation and French pronunciation, to assist students to improve their confidence with oral communication. The lessons are interactive and are based on real life scenarios in French speaking contexts.
