About Vanesssa
Hi, I'm a GCSE maths and science tutor with a deep passion for all things STEM and mathematics.
I have just completed my GCSE exams and am currently awaiting my official results. However, I am a proven straight Grade 9 student, having achieved Grade 9s in all subjects in my mock exams. The curriculum and exam format are completely fresh in my mind, so I know exactly what it takes to master the mark schemes and secure top grades.
Together, we will focus on breaking down complex concepts while also learning key examples, strategy, and wording needed to obtain marks.

As a 16-year-old top student who has just navigated the latest GCSE cycle, I know the current curriculum and exam format inside out. I don't just teach the textbook content—I teach the exact exam strategies and mark-scheme secrets your child needs to maximise their grades. Having consistently achieved Grade 9s throughout my own exams (Edexcel for Maths, and AQA for my other subjects), I can explain complex topics in a relatable, peer-to-peer way that schoolteachers often miss.
My lessons focus heavily on board-specific preparation. For Edexcel Maths, we will look at recent exclusive past paper questions. We will also target challenging Higher Tier areas for development like vectors and proving congruency that frequently trip students up. For AQA subjects, we focus on structuring high-scoring answers to hit specific mark-scheme keywords. By analysing both recent and exclusive past papers, students will be fully equipped to tackle even the hardest questions and achieve the Grade 9 they deserve.
