About Samantha
I have 4 years of tutoring experience, working with students aged 12-18. Mathematics- 3 years, English- 4 years. I am currently a Freshman college student studying to earn my B.A. degree in Psychology. Since I have just recently graduated High School, I’m still updated on recent school curriculum. I love assisting students to help them further their understanding with certain subjects!

I provide thorough personal tutoring sessions based on the student and their school or institution’s curriculum. I tutor 6th-12th grade students in Mathematics and English. A typical lesson plan from me would begin with a brain warmup, whether it be for mathematics or english, to introduce the student to our lesson. Then, we would go over which specific units or ideas of understanding we would need to practice. After we have addressed what skills we may need to work on, I create different hypothetical math or english problems that I will guide the student in solving. After understanding how to solve, they will be given problems to solve by themselves without guidance, and their answers will be checked over by me. I am very patient when it comes to learning because I understand not all students are going to get the answer on their first try (and that is ok!).
