About Philberta
My name is Philberta. I am a freshman at Harold M. Brathwaite Secondary School, with a passion to teach elementary school math and to further grow from there. I am known for my dedication, and am always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. I am also actively involved in tutoring in school for after school programs. Overall, I am a friendly and approachable individual, with a wealth of knowledge and experience to share :)

I have a strong grasp of the subject matter especially elementary math, my former and current teachers can testify to this, and am able to explain complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner. I have patience and am willing to explain concepts repeatedly if necessary. I also tend to be creative in my approach to teaching, by using various teaching methods and materials to keep students engaged and interested in the subject. Most importantly, I am able to identify and adapt to different types of learners because personally, I learn in many different ways. I love math and am passionate to teach it.
