Hi! My name's Mia, I’m 19 and currently studying Biomedical Science at the University of Sheffield. In my free time I enjoy music - listening, watching live performances, and playing guitar and piano! I like to think I am friendly and approachable, and I love helping others. My way of tutoring is all about finding a way of learning that really works for you! My lessons will be relaxed and very supportive, so you always feel confident to ask me any queries to support your learning, no matter how insignificant they may feel! Lessons will be tailored to your needs, whether that’s mastering tricky topics, preparing for an exam, or building confidence in your own ability. As someone who has been through every stage of education, and now studying biomedical science at the University of Sheffield, I understand the pressure of school and exams. I hope to be able to guide students through the stress and pressure by increasing confidence and ability so that they feel ready to tackle exams. I’ll take time to understand how you learn best, explain things clearly, and break down complex ideas into simple steps. My goal is to make our sessions engaging and encouraging so you can leave each one feeling more confident and capable. Tutoring shouldn’t be about putting pressure on grades and memorisation - it’s about building understanding and enjoying the process of learning to unlock your full potential!
