About Antonio

Hello, I'm a Computer Science undergraduate student at Royal Holloway (first year).
I managed to get all A*s and As at GCSE (including a 9 in maths) and As in Maths and Physics at A-level. I have experience teaching my younger siblings at various stages of their education, in a non-condescending way, and getting a lot of progress. As a result, I think the skills learned can transfer to tuition.

I am a young adult. and I specialise in reframing. "What does that mean?" Well, most annoying topics in school are only annoying due to poor explanation from the teacher, or uninteresting context given as to why the topic is actually relevant in the real world.
For example, sets in maths at school annoyed me due to their poorly explained notation, and occasionally abstract nature. However, now that I've seen its use in Computer Science, I actually appreciate why sets are useful structures in maths, and don't just pretend they don't exist (not that I can).
The point is, by reframing the topic in question to be engaging, students are much, much more willing to learn. Past that, I simply think highlighting topics of difficulty and then bringing them to sessions is the best way to learn.
