About Peter
Hi, I’m Pete - a passionate, friendly and dedicated Cyber Security professional with over 20 years' experience working across multiple security domains. My background spans many areas of security; from hands-on technical concepts to data protection and risk management. I have worked for large multinational organisations, on Critical National Infrastructure projects and for central government. I have a passion for teaching and feel I can provide a unique perspective on cyber security due to my comprehensive background. My profile outlines my proposed approach to teaching my students. When I’m not teaching or researching cybersecurity, activities I love doing include embracing the outdoors - typically hiking and cycling with friends and family. I also love all kinds of music particularly live performances and I play the guitar.

I provide a supportive learning environment in which I help my students by sharing the knowledge, skills and insights I have gained working in various cyber roles over the years. Having worked within most security domains, I am uniquely positioned to impart my insights into the challenges cyber security professionals face today. I am happy to teach across all domains, including data protection, identity and access management, security architecture, security techniques, social engineering, standards and others. I work closely with my students to create a curriculum that suits individual needs and interests and I can tailor my approach to create what works best for you. Whether you're new to the field or looking to take your skills to the next level i.e. sitting the CISSP exam, I'm available to support you on your learning journey. My aim is to ensure your learning experience is engaging and immediately useful. I am CISSP certified and have led Cyber Security Awareness Programmes at major organisations. I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals!
