About Gursimran
Hi, I'm Gursimran! I am a patient and enthusiastic chess mentor who loves introducing the game to kids and absolute beginners. I know exactly how to break down the basic rules, tactics, and openings into simple, fun, and easy-to-understand steps.
My goal is to make learning chess completely stress-free. I focus on creating a friendly, high-energy environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. Beyond just moving the pieces, I love helping young minds build focus, patience, and confidence. I look forward to welcoming you to the board and starting this fun journey together!

Interactive & Fun Chess for Beginners with Gursimran!
Hi! I'm Gursimran, and my classes are designed specifically for kids and absolute beginners who want to start their chess journey from the ground up. I believe that learning chess should feel like an exciting adventure, not a dry academic chore!
My goal is to make the chessboard feel welcoming, friendly, and easy to understand.
Our Class Structure
To keep young minds fully engaged, each of our sessions is broken down into active, bite-sized segments:
The Warm-Up (10 mins): We start with fun, interactive chess puzzles to get our brains moving.
The Daily Lesson (20 mins): I introduce a single key concept (like how a specific piece moves, basic opening rules, or simple checkmate patterns) using visual examples.
Friendly Practice (20 mins): We play a guided game together where the student gets to try out the new concept in real-time.
Review & Questions (10 mins): We wrap up by celebrating good moves and answering any questions.
My Teaching Methodology
Patience First: I know that starting a new game can feel overwhelming. I encourage mistakes because that is exactly how we learn and grow.
Gamified Learning: We use fun stories, board games, and puzzles rather than heavy theory to keep lessons interactive.
Cognitive Growth: Beyond the board, I focus on helping students build patience, focus, and critical thinking skills.
Whether your child is completely new to the game or knows just the basic moves, they will leave every class feeling confident, excited, and ready to play!
