About Prachi
Hello! I’m a fifth year medical student currently studying at University College London (UCL). I chose to study medicine because I’m passionate about helping people, solving problems and enthusiastic about the sciences.
Having also obtained a combined intercalated degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, I am able to offer tutoring for a wide variety of subjects such as: 11+ entrance exams, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, BMAT/UKCAT, interview preparation and personal statement workshops!
I hope to share my knowledge and help students achieve their best potential by conveying my enthusiasm, motivating students and offering tailored lessons.
I have over 2 years of tutoring experience as a GCSE mentor for Chemistry and Biology, where I helped younger peers to understand difficult concepts and handle application-style exam questions. Some concepts can be difficult to understand, but I am good at explaining things in simple terms which have enabled my students to achieve higher than their predicted grades.

Firstly we will have a free meeting to get to know each other a little better and assess which parts of the curriculum you would like to focus on. I believe it is important to offer bespoke sessions which meet the needs of the student and their way of learning. For each session we will select a topic and understand the key concepts relevant to the exam board specifications. We will then go through how to apply this knowledge to past paper questions, perfecting exam technique! I believe this is the best technique to learn as it highlights anything that needs clarifying and ensures that all concepts have been understood properly.
To track the progress of my students I can set regular tests and document the results in a spreadsheet. This way at the end of the course it will be clear which areas of the curriculum need to be revisited and focused on.
