About Issie

I am an experienced English teacher with a strong background in language learning and teaching. I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and have been teaching English online for the past year.

I graduated from the University of Oxford with a degree in Modern Languages and Linguistics, which gave me a strong understanding of grammar, vocabulary and language structures. I also spent a year living and studying in Spain, which helped improve my own language skills and shaped the way I teach students from different language backgrounds.

I’m chatty and friendly, and I really enjoy meeting new people and learning about different cultures, so I'm looking forward to meeting you!

I offer fun 60-minute online English lessons for people who want to improve their English for everyday life, work, study, or exams.

My lessons are completely tailored to my students' level and personal goals.

We can focus on speaking and listening for real-life situations, improving confidence in conversation, building vocabulary, or on grammar and accuracy. For students who want more structured progression, we can also work towards specific exams such as IELTS, or focus on writing skills for professional or academic use.

I like to use engaging, real-world topics that are genuinely interesting and useful in everyday situations.

I believe that talking is one of the best ways to gain confidence in a foreign language. I love meeting new people so I'll be happy to chat and get to know you!
