About Niña Lorraine
Hello! My name is Niña Lorraine, and I am a Professional Licensed Teacher from the Philippines with a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education majoring in General Science. I also hold a TEFL certification and have several years of experience teaching Science, Mathematics, and English to students of different ages and abilities.
Teaching has always been my passion because I enjoy helping students understand concepts that they once found difficult. I believe that every student can succeed when they are given the right support, encouragement, and learning approach. My goal is not only to improve grades, but also to help students become more confident, independent, and motivated learners.
I have experience working with students following the UK, IB, and other international curricula, from primary level to secondary and GCSE/IGCSE level. I am patient, approachable, and committed to creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.
I chose to become a tutor because I love seeing the moment when a student finally understands a topic and gains confidence in their abilities. That progress is what makes teaching truly rewarding for me.

Hello! I'm Niña Lorraine, a Professional Licensed Teacher with a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education majoring in General Science, a TEFL certification, and over 7 years of teaching experience in Science and 3 years teaching English. I currently tutor students following the UK, IB, and international curricula, helping them build confidence and achieve their academic goals.
My teaching approach is student-centered, interactive, and tailored to each learner's needs. I first assess the student's strengths and areas for improvement, then create personalized lessons using clear explanations, guided practice, exam-style questions, and real-life examples to make learning engaging and meaningful. I encourage students to ask questions freely and develop independent problem-solving skills rather than simply memorizing answers.
Lessons typically last 50 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged if needed. I teach KG, Primary and KS3, GCSE/IGCSE, offering support in Science, Mathematics, and English. Whether you're preparing for school exams, strengthening foundational knowledge, or aiming for higher grades, I'll provide a supportive learning environment that helps you progress at your own pace while making learning enjoyable and rewarding.
