About Phamela

I’m a compassionate and dedicated tutor who truly loves helping children learn and grow. With experience as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and a background working with K–6 students, I’ve supported children of all learning styles, including those on the autism spectrum. I specialize in reading and early intervention, and I’m passionate about creating a positive, encouraging environment where kids feel confident, supported, and excited to learn. Currently in nursing school, I bring patience, empathy, and strong communication skills into every session.

About the lesson

My approach as a tutor is patient, supportive, and tailored to each student’s unique learning style. I focus on building confidence first, then strengthening skills through clear explanations, guided practice, and positive reinforcement. I often break concepts down into smaller, manageable steps and use repetition, visuals, and interactive activities—especially when working with K–6 students, early learners, and students on the autism spectrum.
A typical lesson starts with a quick check-in or review of previous material, followed by introducing a new concept in a simple and engaging way. We then practice together through guided activities, and I gradually encourage independent work while providing support as needed. I end each session with a short recap and encouragement to reinforce progress.
What sets me apart is my ability to adapt my teaching style to meet each student where they are. I create a calm, structured, and encouraging environment, which is especially helpful for students who need extra support or benefit from routine and consistency.
My lessons are best suited for elementary-level students (K–6), particularly those who need help with reading, early literacy skills, or additional support through early intervention or individualized learning approaches.
