About Ellis
I’m from South Wales, where Welsh wasn’t widely spoken in my area or at home. However, I was lucky enough to go through Welsh-medium education. From nursery to secondary school, all my lessons were delivered in Welsh, and we were encouraged to use the language when speaking with our peers. This has made me very passionate about the language, despite people at university thinking it was crazy that even maths/science was through Welsh at school! I understand how particularly challenging it can be for those learning who don’t come from a Welsh speaking background. The language is ever expanding and I have met people all over the place that can speak Welsh!

I love the idea of helping others learn such a beautiful language. I’m incredibly proud to speak Welsh and regularly use it with my sister, who is also fluent. Every lesson will be tailored to each student’s needs and goals, delivered in an engaging and interactive way. I’m excited to share this language with others while getting the chance to use it more myself. We will go through everything at your own pace, focusing on topics you want to learn e.g. foods, conversation starters etc.
