About Maggie
Hi! I'm an undergraduate at the University of Leeds studying Global Development alongside a discovery module in Forensic Psychology.
I achieved a Grade 7 in GCSE Citizenship before going on to study Politics, English Language and Psychology at A-Level.
I'm particularly interested in politics and global issues, and my current degree allows me to continue exploring many of the themes and ideas that I first encountered through Citizenship and Politics.
Having had a tutor myself during my A-Levels, I know how useful it can be to have someone explain a topic in a different way and give you the confidence to ask questions. This is one of the reasons I wanted to start tutoring.
I want my lessons to be a relaxed and supportive space where students can ask questions without feeling embarrassed. I'll work with each student to identify what they're struggling with and help them build both their subject knowledge and confidence.

Having studied GCSE Citizenship myself and achieved a Grade 7, I understand that some topics can feel difficult to understand or remember. I can help break down key concepts into clear, manageable explanations and help you feel more confident applying your knowledge to exam questions.
Lessons will be adapted to each student and can focus on whatever you need most, whether that's revising key content, planning longer answers, practising exam questions or going over a topic you find particularly challenging.
I can also share the revision techniques I used during my own GCSEs and help you develop an approach to revision that works for you. My aim is to make lessons supportive and useful while helping you become more confident and independent in your exam preparation.
