About Sophie
Hello! My name is Sophie, and I am a Maths tutor based in the UK and I am looking for new students. I am a friendly, supportive, and encouraging tutor who will give you/your child the confidence they need in their maths work. I graduated from the University of Exeter in 2015 with a First-Class degree in Mathematics (with Classical Studies - random I know!) and from then have had multiple teaching/tutoring roles. I really enjoy building a rapport with students in a 1-1 capacity. Seeing their progress on a comprehensive level, and their increase in confidence in themselves is amazing.

Throughout my school & university career I volunteered to tutor maths to Primary and Secondary student and following my graduation I worked in Vietnam for 14 months. There I worked predominantly as an English Teacher but also as a Maths Tutor to students at an international school there. I truly believe in personalising lessons to each student, considering your personality and learning style, whilst working towards your ultimate goal. From my experience this is key, as it keeps lessons engaging and enjoyable.
