About Christina
I started playing the cello when I was 8 years old and have loved it ever since! In high school, I was a member of the world-renowned Portland Youth Philharmonic. I studied with a cello scholarship at Brigham Young University where I earned a degree in Cello Performance. Besides cello I love to ski (I'm always the least skilled on the slopes), bike, hike, bake, go shopping, and read. I also work as a volunteer in the CASA program that helps foster kids in need. My biggest passion, though, is spending time with my playful young daughters and husband.

I love teaching students where they are at and helping them achieve fun and attainable goals. I use various materials to cater lessons for the specific needs of each student, they include: my own scale book, altered Suzuki books and other etude books/materials.
Currently I have 30 students and about half of my students are adults, the other half teenagers. I teach any level, from no knowledge of music to preparing for college admissions. I also have experience and love teaching students with mental health challenges/special needs.
