About Sourav
Hi, I’m Sourav. I am a Deakin University Software Engineering Honors graduate with a strong foundation in Math, Science, Coding, Robotics and problem-solving. My academic background allows me to teach STEM subjects with both technical depth and practical understanding.
My tutoring approach is patient, structured and personalized. I do not believe in simply asking students to memorize steps. Instead, I help them understand the logic behind a concept through clear explanations, diagrams, whiteboard work, practice questions and relatable examples. Depending on the student’s interests, I may connect ideas to real-world technology, robots, space, games, movies or everyday situations so that learning feels more engaging and memorable.
I particularly want to support Year 7–10 students who may feel nervous, behind or less confident in Math and Science. I focus on rebuilding foundations, improving problem-solving habits and helping students feel calm and capable before tests and assessments.
My goal is to make learning clear, respectful and enjoyable while still maintaining strong academic standards.

My tutoring approach is practical, patient and concept-focused. I do not believe in simply making students memorise answers, instead, I help them understand why a method works through examples, visual cues, whiteboard explanations and real-world connections.
My lessons are usually 60 minutes, with the option of longer sessions if a student needs extra support before tests or assessments. I like to first identify where the student is struggling, then break the topic into smaller steps, practise examples together, and gradually let the student solve problems more independently.
I am a Bachelor of Software Engineering Honours graduate with a strong background in mathematics, science, coding, robotics and problem-solving. While I am new to formal private tutoring, I have experience explaining concepts to classmates and peers during my studies, and I have also worked with younger children. My main focus is tutoring Year 7–10 students in Maths, Science and Coding, especially students who need clearer explanations, stronger foundations and more confidence.
