About Ofelia

My goal is to transform schoolwork from a source of daily stress into an empowering, confidence-building experience through proven, brain-friendly memory strategies. You can count on a safe, encouraging, and highly reliable environment where young learners are truly understood, guided step-by-step, and taught how to think independently. I am fully committed to helping your child cultivate lasting study habits, unlock their full academic potential, and take genuine pride in their learning journey.

About the lesson

I bring 8 years of experience as a university instructor with advanced coursework in clinical psychology, translating cognitive science into friendly, stress-free study strategies for young learners.

Teaching Method & Techniques

Brain-Based Retention Hacks: I teach visual association, chunking, and mnemonic tricks to make memorizing vocabulary, facts, and formulas effortless and fun.

Positive Scaffolding: Instead of giving answers, I guide students through step-by-step problem-solving to build independent thinking and reduce study anxiety.

Active Recall Games: I turn repetitive review into interactive checks so children retain information naturally without feeling overwhelmed.

A Typical 50-Minute Lesson Plan

Warm-Up & Energy Check (5 mins): A quick, encouraging check-in and a fun brain teaser to get focused and set goals.

Core Assignment Work (25 mins): Tackling daily homework together, breaking complex tasks into bite-sized steps.

Memory Skill Booster (15 mins): Applying customized memory tricks to current subjects (e.g., spelling lists, math facts, or science concepts).

Confidence Closing (5 mins): The student explains key concepts back to me in their own words to reinforce retention and celebrate progress.

What Sets Me Apart
While many tutors focus solely on getting through homework, my background in clinical psychology allows me to address how children learn best. I combine 8 years of university teaching experience with practical developmental psychology to boost memory, improve focus, and make learning an enjoyable, confidence-building routine.

Who the Lessons Are For

Target Audience: Elementary school students (Grades 1–6 / Ages 6–12).

Ideal Student Profile: Children who need supportive homework assistance, struggle with memory and study habits, or experience frustration and stress during daily schoolwork.
